So here's the game I almost made..

CannonCrotch did well. Full o glitches, but I can't be really that bothered to fix them right now. I mean what difference is it gonna make at this point? Everyone's allready played it. Also, I try and edit it and I get that I HOPE YOURE NOT EDITIN THIS SWF, COS ILL TAKE AWAY ALL YOUR SHIT message. I don't know WHAT the ad thing's like. How much do I get per hit, people keep askin me. I DON'T KNOW. LET'S FIND OUT. I'M PIONEERING IT.

SO WHATEVER. ENOUGH ABOUT THAT.
Since then, I started a different game, this one:

Play level 1 first.
Pretty funky. Innovative n all that shite. REALLY easy to make, I made those 10 levels in about a week. Took me like 3 month to make CannonCrotch (and that was broke as fuck).

BUT- A couple days ago, I got asked to do a collab with two girls on the same night! What did I do- Run between the two restaurants, hoping the other girl doesn't notice and get myself in all kinds of hillarious situations? No. I turned one of em down =(
Well, I had the idea to do a funky awesome game with one guy and get half the money I usually get, or do a game that I really can't imagine where it's going and maybe get more money than I usually get.
I did the second one. It's with some big guys. Big enough to merit that I'm not allowed to say who they are.
But OH MY CHRIST- THERE'S SO MANY COCKS AND WANGS AND DONGS, SCHLONGS COCKS AND PENISES WHAT THE HELL HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO AURRRRGGHHH

I was gonna do like 50 levels, but then this crazy collab biznis came up n I was like WOOOAAAAHH.

I would've had a couple certain guys who coud do certain stuff.
I would've had so you could pick up stuff (Like in the Pyramid level), I would've had a level where one of the guys was giant, I would'vehad a level that was total- Didn't fit in- The blue guy drove a car and the black guy shot a huge boss thing, I would've had one in a volcano where the lava's arisin, I would've had loads o shit.

Aw well yeah, but noone's gonna want to play a little one. Like if I did a massive one with loadser stuff, it'll probably get front page, I can put ads in it, sponsorships, people'd ask for it on their site n I'd be gettin £££s.

Yeah but if I just did a small one, it'd be in the portal for about a day n get about a thousand hits at most or some shit. That'd be a waste.

You fix up the small problems (lol invisible floor at the first jump point in marathon), polish it up and you'll make a nice amount off of it.
I doubt most people will even play all ten levels but they'll still link their friends to it.

Right- Maybe I'll get it out there once I've done a COUPLE MORE levels. Just cos I feel like finishing some shit with it. That'll only take a couple days.

OH WAIT- What if I put an ad in the space that says SCREENSHOT? That could potentially be an ingenious idea.

This is soo much worse than the first version of this game. The one you posted a couple of months back. It had worse graphics, of course, but I really liked it. And it was much better when you could press DOWN to crouch, and all that.
Use that instead (if you still have that file that is) instead of this much worse version.

Oh yeah I've still got the file. Seriously though, nobody got that game. The controls were SO damn awkward. With this redesigned control system, I barely even have to have any instructions.
Nobody wants to play a tutorial level. Especially when it's as hard to understand as that one was.

Also, what don't you like about this one specifically?

Woah, I loved the one in the BBS topic, this one was kinda killed. Course you don't want to hear this yada yada but like srsly a few things :

WHY THE FUCK WOULD U MAKE A BOUND WHEN YOU ARE AT AN EDGE?! WHYYY IT MAKES NO SENSE. It ruins the fun too.

Also the "pushing" arrow is messed up. Like it works very strangely and makes u go left when u are pressing right etc. Look into that, get a friend to play it and see what problems they run into for that.

Lastly, could u speed up the FPS? Like I know its a puzzle game or watnot, but it just gets tedious too fast. If you could move faster it would actually keep up with ur train of thought cuz the levels arent even that hard.

In short, an edge is a boundary to accomodate the controls. To pull a guy up, you run off an edge while he's underneath it. If an edge wasn't a boundary, it'd play that animation every time you went near an edge, which'd get annoying.
Right, I'm starting to get the feeling nobody likes this interface.

Are you talking about the thing that jumps you across gaps there? It should allways send you in the direction the arrow's pointing, not the direction you're facing.

The framerate's 25FPS, but I've not optimised anything atall. I think I will speed up the guys.

See, the levels being too easy is why I want to make some more.

Just make it like it was before!!!!! That you could press down when u want and if you run off the edge u fall down. I don't know why you modded that..

And the arrow is rly messed up. It only sends my across a gap 1 out of 10 times. Otherwise im stuck "hopping" above the arrow a few times and while hopping the controls for left an right are reversed as well.

Right yeah, the arrows broke.
I really wanted to change it because every time I've seen the original played by someone else, they never get it. It works on the internet, and it works if I'm there to tell you how to play it, but in a real situation with normal people, it's just tedious and boring to learn.

I'm changing it back though. Someone somewhere else just made me realise what's wrong with it.

OK now!I enjoy all of your game and sincerely think you are doing agreat job programing altough you lack a bit of the extra visual humph! I do believe that cannon crotch is your best looking game so far but this one game you just made as an innovative gameplay that SERIOUSLY deserve a makeover so why don'T you raise your graphic quality on this one and had a bit to the mechanic with some more interaction.I had a flash going trought the determination level I saw the two characters seperatly climb a cliff to finally find a gigantic boss to be slayed using the two characters(note that the characters should have different abilities like you could make one strong but slow and an other more athletic)so fighting bosses in the way of shadow of the colosus I mean bosses big enough for them not to be so fast to give the opportunity of reaching some vital part or using the level interaction to trap and or kill the gigantic beasts

No graphics cos I really suck at level design. Seriously. If I put as much work into drawing this as I did into CannonCrotch, it wouldn't be out for another couple months.

Also, how can you have boss fights when you can only control one guy at a time? If you could control both guys at once, most of the puzzles in this would be void.
As much as Shadow o Colossus is an excellent game, I can't imagine it working on a 2D plane.

I started it when I saw a video of the Army of Two guys co-operating to get up onto a high platform. Back then, I didn't know what the game was called, what it was for, or whether it'd come out yet or not.

I honestly think the last version was a lot better. It was simpler, and it has a much better feel. I even like the graphics in the last version better then the graphics on this one.

Nice job on the game(both) The new one reminds me of splinter cell's co-op game play. :D And CannonCrotch reminds me of metal slug so you made good games,keep it up.
