that wouldve worked better in the trailer if I had other lines of dialogue playing over gameplay, but the music wasnt long enough to accomodate for that
actually yknow what I wish I wouldve made the boss fight RIGHT after that more instanteanious, cos the whole point of puttin that clip there was to seperate the enemy combat scenes from the boss combat ones. maybe Ill go back to it later..

I JUST went around Youtube watchin Adventure Time clips. I've only ever seen the original pilot but that is one fuckin excellent cartoon.

I started makin games years n years ago before sponsorship was a thing and all my games were shit. Then I made this one game I really liked called Cannon Runner, and MaxGames was doin a contest where you could win $10,000. Even now that's crazy, but this was before anyone was makin ANY money off flash games. It wasn't even just that either, you got $10,000 if you came first, $5000 if you came second, then $3500 and so on until 10th place. NOT ONLY THAT but there were $500 bonuses for the best in seperate genres and other crazy stuff. I won 3rd place and 2 bonuses- but it was kinda sad because none of the games that entered were really any good.
They did the same thing a year later and I entered n won again. The submissions were a bit better, but still nobody with any real talent entered. They've put a lot in, but've failed to ever evolve passed a web page with a bunch of links. That kind of reflects the games I was makin.
Also I asked Newgrounds but they were full up for that month so y'know.
And I'm kinda sad there has to be a logo in the bottom left all the time.
i didnt think i was selling kids short(??). i just kinda got the idea from starfox on SNES from the tractor beams you have to barrel roll out of from the boss of stage 2, difficulty 3. sorry for the misunderstanding just suggesting ideas! :)

You need to get that sorted ASAP however you can. From the ammount of time it's taken you and the complexity of that trailer, I'm imagining the Fla is pretty huge and unwieldy by this point. You need to find someone with Flash CS5 to try and open and save it as uncompressed XML (this fixed a fair number of some old Flas of mine I thought were corrupted past use) Then resaving it in an older format. (I notice you're using Flash 8) The source code to something like that will be very handy in future and somethign you should sort sooner rather than later.
I can open it on my old PC fine- this new one is TECHNICALLY way better but it can't do shit.
That's actually why I've still got my old PC right nex to my new one.
And I'm deliberately down-playing how much of a problem that is, cos I doubt anyone who's reading this REALLY cares about whatever technical issues I'm havin.

Wait, that logo's going to be in the corner the entire time? If you click it is it a link? If so that would get kind of annoying whenever I try to shoot near the bottom left and keep accidentally clicking the logo. Those sorts of things always get me.

personally Ive never once clicked it by accident, and the guy did pay an exceptional amount o money for it, but it is kind of silly.

Where is this awesome flash/better than flash game? Should be marvellous! I'm embarrassingly excited about it. Any idea when it's finally gonna be released?? Also, that NG games sounds cool. The working title looks great but not really my cup of tea. For sidescrollers like that I think hundreds of bullets is more fun. Something like "Billie blue fish".

oh- I didnt realize people'd think it was a game FOR children, but now I can see why yad think that. No its more like a game for generic newgrounds audience, but intended to- I guess feel like it was thought up by kids? or something? its kind of hard to explain.
