I don't think you're cut out for 3d animation just yet, your animations were stiff and unrealistic at best. Other then that, i think you're a very talented person. Good luck finding a job at such a young age!

I'll keep at it, thanks. My recent 2D stuff looks better, but animating in 3D is a big adjustment.

Thanks; I was in a lecture a while ago that talked a lot about how to make a good showreel. One of the things he called out was how all the ametuers do the exact same animation of a guy lifting a heavy box, and I felt stupid cos that was something I'd just done.
So with this I wanted to involve some kind of purpose or emotion or y'know, acting.
Cos if they get a hundred animations of a guy lifting a box then mine'll look well better.

The 3D is okay, but you gotta remember to keep the character moving even if it's just a little shift of weight, or a sag of the arm, etc. In 2D full stops work great, but in 3D they stand out like a sore thumb.

That said, what you had was actually pretty good, you just gotta keep him moving fluidly in the off moments.

That was a pretty ok animation. The heavy one should've focused a lot more on weight.

Although the 3-d is done well overall, it just seems stiff. I have no experience with 3-d animation, but if I was animating 3-d, I would probably just study other fullbody animations such as this one- <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PDW2te9StQ">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PDW2t e9StQ</a> to get a feel for how the body is supposed to move every frame.

Could you please post a link to your newest build of Legend of Johnny? I really want to try out all the stuff in the shop but can't in the current one because all the levels but the first one are broken/have no end.
