Its turning out to be a very hip, fast paced flash.
I think it would be better if you could choose between collecting coins or getting followed by them through the options menu.

I know you updated the friction engine very recently, (is it actually considered an engine? I'm not sure...) but theres a bit too much friction when you switch directions by a wall.

Also, if you bring the crab down by the steel structure, its big claw fazes through the steel, making it impossible to get on its back.

I don't know how you could fix this, but I think the gun is a bit overused in the boss battle. All you need to do is constantly click, and then jump on and beat the crap out of the dude.

Also, I thought of a pretty lame way to give players a hint to shoot the stomach. You could put a poster in the lighthouse keepers house saying something like "Bottoms Best!" with a picture of a fork stabbed into the stomach of a crab.

There might be other opinions, but I think that the leeches stay on you too long before attacking, since you can destroy them in three hits.

I can vouch for super-sense, I found the same glitch with the animation of the fallen guy staying after the crab gets up.

Overall, very appealing game with some slight problems. Can't wait for next weeks update!!!

Yeah I fixed most of this stuff in the passed couple hours. I've not updatedthe link, but most of this stuff is sorted.

Ok, I'll have an option for the coin thing. I actually would'nt av thought of that.

So you're saying the gun's used too much on the crab? I've bin thinking of giving the crab less health so it goes down quicker, I'll try it.

I love the hint idea. I mean- I'm not using it cos it'd look dumb and it'd have to be so small to fit in the light house that you wouldn't be able to read it. I like the way you're thinkin about communicating to the player through the art though, that's mint.

When I talk about the leeches, I'm talkin about the black flying shit the crab guy shoots at you. These small brown guys though- I don't want em to be too hard. I'm leaving it at 3 hits.

Everything else is fixed.

Another thing I just realized while playing your game to waste time (yes, I like playing unfinished games) :

If you get hit by the crab's right claw (the smaller one) while facing towards the steel structure, you get thrown sideways, except your facing the lighthouse, which defies gravitational laws. Is that a glitch, an unmade animation, or just me caring about random shit? I don't know if this is with everything or just with the claw, but I'm not gonna go through every enemy in every direction.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being a overcritical bitch, but I;m just trying to make your game better

P.S. its my first time using photobucket, so sorry if somethings screwed up.

Yeah he should be facing the other way. I'll find out why he isnt.

+I need overcritical bitches

Hey reading other people's comments I remembered there's another significant glitch: there are some specific angles that will give you the wrong animation in the shooting routine.

Instance, you shoot at a determined angle to your top left corner, about 45ยบ I'd say, and, while the shot goes in the right direction, the hero plays an animation of shootin in almost the opposite direction.

I can't help better without the code in this issue, unfortunately. Check the trig out and you'll eventually find it. Maybe you solved it already, I'm not replaying it now.

See you.

when you kill an enemy guts and body parts should come out and you collect it and trade it to the butcher for stuff

That's kind of weird. It MIGHT be good.
I'd probably never be able to sell it though.

maybe for the health bar you could have one of those things where whenever you get hit, your heart (or a picture of a heart anyways) looks a little worse for wear, until eventually it's just destroyed. it's hard to tell when you're about to die but it looks pretty damn cool!

Yeah I thought about it. I'm being serious about stuff like that though and the health bar should really be something that you can easily read in your peripheral vision.

o ya and couple glitch reports. one, if you get the crab to the far side (where the girders are) and you knock out the crab, when he gets back up, the downed power guy will still be there. at least that's what happened to me. also, (sry i miscommunicated, only one glitch), it's a mite too easy to die. lower the damage, or people who fight like me, (charge in without thinking) will be way too hard. think about people who play the games differently, so that way you can modify the game and make it more popular with every one.

random list of gamer types.

pussies: guys who stay back and shoot, also known as campers

nothinkers: see top

strategic: exactly as it says, people who think out their strategy completely

obsessed gamers: guys who like to, and need to try out every single solitary combo and/or weapon

experiencers: guys who like to test out the game with multiple tries, before becoming any of the types above.

and those are just a few.

also, watch out for the n00bs (guys who suck at every game, and think it's either way too hard or stupid). these guys are at every game, and you can't avoid them.

First bug is fixed, second problem would be solved with the inclusion of difficulty settings that determine damage settings and enemy AI.

I'm gonna ignore everything after that so you don't come off as as much of an idiot.

the games comin along nice , the quickest way to weakin the crab is to charge your sword haha.... its pretty funy wen they r having th combo aqn all it says is blah blah blah XD

yeah I allways do the sword thing
Ill put a real conversation in there later

just a suggestion, cuz i looked at the sword charging an all, wouldn't it be cool if the guy had some kind of, 10 second transformation...er sumthin....jus puttin it out there ya know...hehe

Yeah that's one of the special moves Ive got planned

another suggestion...and if you were to put sum kinda transformation....the gun would get replaced by the main guy shootin energy out o his hand er sumthin...ya know, for a like, 10 second transformation

nah I think thats a bit too immature and serious for this game
I dont want people to think Im proper goin for it with the XTREME BADITUDE stuff

Hey I smel. i have an idea! how bout, after beating a boss, such as the crab, you can unlock cooler guns, or swords, that are more effective than the last, and maybe the swords could have different charge moves. ORRRRRR...using the coins you collect to upgrade your weapons.

Ive answered this before with massive-long answers, but there'll be one sword and one dual pistols in the game- no additional ones. I dont want the game gettin over-complex with DMG percentages (allthough I do have that behind the scenes) and weapon switching and different movesets for different weapons and certain bosses can only be beat with certain weapons n all that shite- Itd scare people off, and I dont think anyone'd really get into that. come on, its a flash game
also I dont wanna just shoe-horn em in there just for the sake of having more weapons

different charge moves- Yes. allready got that worked out

coins will get you upgrades, itll be like the perks in COD or the skulls in halo or those things in fallout- Im basically gonna have the capsual system from budokai 1 2 and 3
