NO TIME update, etc

BaNG.

Today I talked about how I think Level 1 is allways the most important part of a game, and how boss fights are good and shouldn't be bad, etc.
I'm havin real trouble making good artwork for this game. It's not that I can't draw; I just don't know how to make a good composition.

Me n Alex are talkin about doin some weird shit with this game right now.
I'm having a genuine conversation with someone about how we're gonna manage the pacing and how the levels are laid out, this is way more planned than my games usually are.

I didn't do anythin else this week, soz.

NO TIME update, etc

nobody cares what you think about anything and also your game sucks

Thanks Registar.

I like your gay MSpaint RPG things.

Yeah Level 1 is extremely important, I mean a lot of games start off kinda uninteresting and slowly work their way into what makes them special. But on the other hand, a lot of times I'll just play Level 1 (or the first few levels, if the levels are really short), and then kinda move on to doing something else if I'm not grabbed. It's not that I don't know it's gonna get better, but usually I've got other things I'm thinking about doing. Plus, I just disagree with the frequently seen concept of "The more you play, the more fun you're allowed to have".

On the other hand there is of course the whole learning curve thing, you don't wanna be immediately thrown into something you don't comprehend at all. Most people aren't trying to "lure you to play longer", they're just trying to make it so you're not overwhelmed at first. Quite the challenge I imagine. That's my take on it anyway.

I hate boss fights which I can't restart from the beginning of the fight, if I fail on a boss and get sent back to the start of the stage or something, I usually rage quit. Doing something I've already done and beaten isn't really fun or why I'm playing.

Anyway I'm no game programmer, but you are, and your games have always been good at pulling me in from the first second, so I'm sure you'll make it work.

Good luck! Are we gonna get to customize our little guy a bit?

Me n Alex are talking over whether or not you should start with a less powerful beam right now, or whether we wanna do an abilitease and take away your powers later or something, cos the idea of beaming yourself around is somethin some people aren't gonna GET straight away... so that's a weird conversation.

You won't have to keep grinding through the first 3 attacks of any boss-fights in this game.

The guy will change in tonnes of dumb ways over the game- I don't wanna spoil anything, but it's all about What-If scenarios. So graphics and physics n powers n everything's gonna keep swapping around every couple levels.

Looking good

Registar sucks, look at his profile, yuck.

He reviewed a game I made or something years ago, that's when I first noticed Registar, and he still has the same girl eatin a tarrantula jpeg on his userpage

that's how I remember who that is, it's the guy with the gross jpeg

Alright man, I am really excited for this, check the blog every once in a while.

I dont want you to rush this! I love how much dedication you are putting into the boss fight!

Please dont make this a shitty short game, because I am a person who finds paying for flash games very, well odd. Hopefully, you pull through, And you never know, we might have another super meat boy on our hands!

i love dead space invaders!! and i do think that someplanning in yourgamesmight be a good thing. but yourstuff still rocks!
